Spinal Orthotics
Boston Brace
The Boston brace, a type of thoraco-lumbo-sacral-orthosis (TLSO), is a back brace used primarily for the treatment of idiopathic scoliosis in children.
The Boston brace works by applying corrective pressure on the convex (outer) side of the curve and cutting out corresponding areas of relief on the concave (inner) side of the curve so the spine can migrate in that direction.

Chenue Brace
Cheneau bracing is asymmetric and differs from other types of scoliosis braces in that it allows for Schroth corrective breathing while the patient wears it.
The corrective breathing pattern is strategically created by applying pressure to the convex areas and voids at the concavities for breathing and expansion.
A well-designed Cheneau brace should focus on three-dimensional correction of the spine in the coronal (frontal), transverse (rotational) and sagittal (side) planes.
